New Student Registration
Welcome to the Caledonia Central Supervisory Union!
We are excited to welcome your family to our schools. Registration for new students is completed online through our secure enrollment system. Please select the appropriate registration option below to get started.
- Registration for Pre-K students is completed through a separate application process.
Registration for Kindergarten through Grade 12 is completed online through PowerSchool Enrollment.
Before you begin, please gather the following documents:
- Birth Certificate or other proof of age
- Parent/Guardian Photo Identification
- Proof of Residency
- Current Immunization Record
- Previous School Information (if transferring from another school)

Students who are not currently enrolled in a Caledonia Central Supervisory Union (CCSU) school must complete the online PowerSchool Pre-Registration Form.
The Pre-Registration Form is the first step in enrolling a new student and must be completed for each child enrolling in a CCSU school.
When completing the Pre-Registration Form, you will be asked to select:
Grade Level
Choose the grade your student will be entering when they begin attending CCSU. If your child is enrolling during the current school year, select their current grade level. If enrolling for the upcoming school year, select the grade they will attend next year.School
Select the CCSU school your child will attend based on your family's town of residence.After completing all required fields, click the Submit button to send your student's pre-registration.

Once your pre-registration has been submitted, school staff will review the information and any required documentation.
After the pre-registration has been approved, you will receive an email with instructions for creating your PowerSchool Parent Portal account (if you do not already have one). Through the Parent Portal, you will complete the remaining enrollment forms and upload any additional required documents.
If additional information or documentation is needed before approval, a school representative will contact you.
Please allow time for the approval process. If you do not receive an email after your pre-registration has been approved, be sure to check your spam or junk mail folder before contacting your child's school.

The online registration process takes approximately 20–30 minutes to complete.
For the best experience, please have electronic copies (PDF, JPG, or PNG) of your required documents ready before you begin. You can save your progress and return later if needed.
Required Documents
Please have the following documents ready:
- Student's Birth Certificate or other legal proof of age
- Proof of Residency (such as a utility bill, lease agreement, mortgage statement, or property tax bill)
- Current Immunization Record???????
- Previous School Information, including the name and address of the student's current or most recent school (for transfer students)
- Health Care or Emergency Medical Information, including allergies, medical conditions, medications, and physician information, if applicable
Additional documentation may be requested based on your student's individual circumstances.

For enrollment purposes, residency means the location where the student and parent/guardian physically live. Residency is not established solely by owning property, owning a business, or having a post office box within a CCSU town.
All residency documentation must include:
- The name of the parent/legal guardian, and
- The physical address where the family resides within the CCSU community.
Please provide one of the following documents showing the parent/legal guardian's name and the current physical residence address:
- Mortgage agreement, property deed, or title showing the physical address
- Rental agreement or lease showing the physical address
- Valid voter registration card, voter registration receipt, or confirmation from the Town Clerk
OR
Please provide two of the following documents dated within the last 60 days showing the parent/legal guardian's name and the current physical residence address:
- Current utility bill
- Valid Vermont driver's license
- Valid Vermont identification card
- Current automobile insurance card
- Current Vermont vehicle registration
- Bank statement (financial information may be redacted)

After your pre-registration has been reviewed and approved, you will receive an email with instructions for accessing the PowerSchool Parent Portal and completing the remaining enrollment forms.
Step 1: Access the PowerSchool Parent Portal
Use the login information provided in your PowerSchool Enrollment Next Steps email to sign in to the Parent Portal.
When you first sign in, you will be prompted to change your password. Your new password must meet the minimum password requirements provided by PowerSchool.
Step 2: Complete the Enrollment Forms
After signing in:
- Select Forms from the left-hand menu.
- Select the Enrollment tab.
- Complete each required form listed.
All required forms must be completed and submitted before your student's enrollment can be finalized.
Step 3: Submit Required Documentation
As part of the enrollment process, you will need to provide required supporting documentation, including:
- Proof of residency
- Birth certificate or proof of age
- Immunization records
- Any additional documentation requested by the school
Documents may be uploaded through the enrollment forms or provided directly to the school office.
Step 4: Enrollment Review and Next Steps
After all required forms have been submitted and supporting documentation has been received, school staff will review your student's enrollment information.
A school representative will contact you with next steps, which may include:
- Classroom placement information for elementary and middle school students
- An enrollment meeting or scheduling information for high school students
- Additional information needed before your student's first day
