Students in grades 5-12 had an opportunity today to spend some time with Senator Bernie Sanders. He came with questions for our students about the major concerns they have and wanting to know what issues they thought were most important to students, even asking for their ideas about solutions. Then our students were able to ask him questions. Vaping and substance use, mental health, technology, and access to enrichment opportunities were common topics from students and from the senator.
