Our 19th annual Penny Drive in the high school, sponsored by the National Honor Society, drew to a close this Friday. After two weeks of donations streaming in, your loose change added up to a whopping $652.41 for our local food shelf! A huge thank you to everybody who emptied the change from their pockets to make this possible, as well as the group of students who spent every lunch period counting coins to update our students on the current scores. After a couple of hours with the coinstar machine after break, we will be able to bring a check to the Onion River Food Shelf to help our local families. Thank you to all who participated, and start saving those pennies for next year!
